Dwarka Expressway
Stretching from the Delhi-Haryana border to Kherki Daula, it is a 28.5-kilometre-long expressway with five unique features.
- Widest and Build on a Single Pier
The elevated 19-kilometre section of the Dwarka Expressway in Gurgaon is 34 metres wide and has a total of 8 lanes, 4 on each side. It has been built on a single pier; hence, it uses less land and allows space for wider service roads.
- The Longest and Widest Urba Tunnel
In the expressway’s Delhi section near the IGI airport, there is a 3.6-kilometre-long ‘shallow tunnel’.
- Blast-Proof Tunnel
It is a three-lane, 2.3-kilometre tunnel that connects Terminal 3 of IGI airport to the road from Mahipalpur. To ensure security, a 500-metre section of the tunnel, which is the airport’s most immediate vicinity, has been made blast-proof.
- 75 Precent Elevation
Three-fourths of the 28.5 km Dwarka Expressway is at an elevation. The traffic will move at three levels: elevated expressway, surface roads, and underpasses.
- India’s first 4-Level Interchanges
4-Level interchanges at three locations. Shiv Murti, Yashobhoomi in Dwarka, and the approach of IMT Manesar in Gurgaon.
